Learners' Collective Foundation is a registered not-for-profit organisation started to provide for a learner led education. It is started by a group of like minded parents who have understood the perils of conventional schooling and have started exploring different ways of learning.
The foundation is starting a learning centre at Sadhana Vidyalaya in Sion that will be a space for learning for children between 5 to 18 years of age. The vision of the foundation is also to spread awareness about alternative methodologies and open learning centres that promote such educational philosophies.
This centre is a complete alternative to the conventional schooling, where children will spend their time exploring their interests with the help of adult facilitators. There will be no formal board or fixed curriculum.
At Sadhana Learning Centre, our values show up in everyday moments. In how children enter the space without fear, how their voices are heard, how disagreements turn into conversations, and how learning unfolds at each child’s pace. We care deeply about creating an environment where children feel safe to try, fail, question, and grow together.

We follow a democratic schooling model where children and adults have an equal voice. Decisions are made through a weekly Judiciary, daily mediator meetings help resolve conflicts, and shared responsibilities are taken up through rotating roles, supported by a core group of facilitators and parents.

At Sadhana Learning Centre, our core members are parents who came together with a shared belief that children need space to explore, question, and discover without fear. For us, education isn’t about rushing outcomes or loading minds with information. It’s about helping children stay curious, confident, and connected to themselves.
