I read this blog by Aditi and Ratnesh about lying. Here’s the blog, it's quite a provoking article.
I don’t know if you will agree with it or not. But it’s worth a discussion. Let us know what you think.
Now here’s what happened this week…
Adolescents who are going to Bangalore are very sincerely making videos about life in LC. They are making three videos in total and some of you are getting interviewed for it. Any spare time they are getting, either they are shooting something or editing. It is a team effort. We have yet to see their final outcome, but they are learning some skills for sure.
With rubber bands tied on glasses and steel vatis with different quantities of water in them we tried to learn about Sound. Yes, we made our own Jal Tarang. We also try to hear how sound gets transferred through solid things. The questions we tried to answer are, what is sound? How does it get transmitted? How is it measured? What is an echo? Can we hear each other in water? We also tried to measure through an app, how loud can we shout?
All the pups went to the Nehru Planetarium on thursday. A facilitator from the Planetarium took a session on Solar System. After the session they also went to a show on the big bang and the Universe. They took pictures with the cut outs of astronauts. They were also excited for since they left behind the adolescents and blossoms.
Vihaan and Samyak were upto something this week. Since they joined the Finance/Entrepreneurship session late in the semester, they needed to start some business and we figured a coffee stall would be a good idea. We had lots of parents as our clients. Thanks for the wonderful support. They will continue this on Monday too. Both of them said we will continue this till their coffee powder is over.
Adolescents had a very animated Math session with Vipul. They started with making a very big circle, as big as a room. Then they were doing things standing in the circle with arms extended and then various gymnastics moves, like backflips and front roll. From far away it looked funny. Next time I will secretly take a video of them…:)
We are talking about the history that is 12,000 years ago. Sapiens have started agriculture and domestication of animals. Settlements will come next.
We talked about floods in Pakistan and Bangalore, the car accident of Cyrus Mistry, the new UK PM Liz Truss.
Reminder for coming week
On Friday, gymnastics is going to begin at 08:30 am.
Next Project Day is on 29th September.
Next Let’s समझते हे is on 18th September 3 - 5 pm.
That’s all for this week…until next time,
